The association INFO.RO awarded the master thesis of Justin Kreikemeyer titled "Tensor-Based Smooth Execution of Stochastic Agent-Based Simulations" with the title "Best Master Thesis".
This annual award is given to a selected master thesis in the field of computer science at the University of Rostock.
Mr. Kreikemeyer's thesis, supervised by Philipp Andelfinger as part of the SODA project, brings together parallel GPGPU computing, probabilistic program execution, and domain-specific languages to enable and study the efficient parallel calculation of smoothed gradients for the optimization of discrete agent-based simulations.
